Rogers Content & Portals Management team is currently seeking energetic and talented individuals to be part of the diverse and dynamic team responsible for the services development and evolution of the Rogers and Fido mobile portals. There are four positions available:

Content Operations Specialist

Reporting to the Manager, Content & Portals, the successful candidate will be responsible for the operations of the Rogers Content Ingestion Pipeline for our various rich media products. Leveraging your excellent communication skills, you will work closely with the Content Programming team to ensure that content demands are met for release dates and promotions. You will also keep in regular contact with key content providers to ensure the delivery of their assets, engaging the technical operations team when issues arise with the Content Ingestion Pipeline.

This role encompasses a range of important functions so the ability to multi-task and effectively solve problems while demonstrating attention to detail is paramount to ensure we meet the expectations of our providers and end-users.

The successful candidate must understand digital content formats and be ready to ready to employ best practices for content life cycle management: content provider procurement, content ingestion, content transcoding, quality assurance and change control.

Web Developer, Mobile Content (2 positions available)

Reporting to the Manager, Content & Portals, the successful candidate will be responsible for architecting mobile web solutions for our various rich media products on a variety of hand-held devices including the Blackberry, Apple iPhone, J2ME phones, etc. Leveraging mobile-centric usability guidelines and best practices, you will drive revenue targets, penetration rates and ARPU by working closely with stakeholders to understand the market problem and develop creative solutions for meeting the business needs.

The successful candidate must understand and be ready to employ the entire cycle of development: architecting a dynamic and robust solution, development of the application, documentation, and maintenance of WEB/WAP portals and applications.

Portal Product Manager, Mobile Content

Reporting to the Group Product Manager, Entertainment, the successful candidate will be responsible for the merchandising management of the Rogers and Fido portals. Leveraging your excellent communication skills, you will work closely with the Content Programming team to ensure that merchandising efforts can be completed based on release dates and promotions. You will also keep in regular contact with key content providers to facilitate merchandising plans and scheduling ingestion of their assets, engaging the technical operations team when issues arise.

This role encompasses a range of important functions so the ability to multi-task and effectively solve problems while demonstrating attention to detail is paramount to ensure we meet the expectations of our providers and end-users.

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of mobile entertainment and content, mobile devices and data products and be ready to ready to employ best practices for content life cycle management: content merchandising and analysis, content development, content procurement and change control.
